PLYMOUTH COUNTY RELEASE ON FATAL SHOOTING

BROCKTON, MA – Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz today announced that there was a fatal shooting this morning in Brockton.

Today, at approximately 10:39 a.m., a vehicle stopped in the area of 133 North Main Street where a Uniformed Police Officer was working a detail.  The passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Manny Junior Andrade (DOB: 3/13/91) of Taunton, was suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the face.  Emergency medical personnel were notified and they transported the victim to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The matter is under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and the Brockton Police.  There will be an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
